Why do you have to watch out for me? Sure, I might come in and say something negative about a review, but so what? I'm like a dog with no teeth. Sure I can bark a lot but it isn't as if I can bite you. I'm just a lowly member who can come in a shake my cane at you, but not like I can do anything about it.

Awww, don't describe yourself like that. We enjoy all your cane-shaking moments in the reviews. XD Well, I do. The review section wouldn't be as better and lively as it is now without you two.

Don't ever stop shaking your cane, shoujoboy. They boost my morale to write better. ;) I'm really sorry if I offended you in some ways. :(

Quote by shoujoboyOk, ok... I gotta cut ya some slack now. After dealing with the countless threads of that LVman, I just gotta step back and say "Damn". What is the over/under on him posting another eerily similar to the ones we've already seen?

I have no idea, not the first time I've dealt with this sort of thing. Most likely won't be the last either. Just another day in the life of a mod.

I have no friends in MT, how can I be your friend :D

Found this while doing some light reading.

Thought you might find it a bit intriguing.

If you suddenly get the urge to try to go SSJ4... well, feel free to it... but I'm sure you can't fly... and you're likely to burst a blood vessel. -_-
Or, if you feel like you're the reincarnated guardian of a sacred jewel... you start shooting mutant animals (demons) with a bow, don't blame me for being incarcerated for animal cruelty. <_<

There was actually a guy in my school years ago who thought he was Goku. So much so, people actually started to call him that. He would walk around with his chest puffed out and his arms out like he was trying really hard to be buff. He wore DBZ shirts everyday (cause I guess as Goku he needed to self-promote). And I kid you not, while waiting at the bus stop one day, someone asked him to summon a spirit bomb. He stood there with his hands in the air for like 10 minutes.

You know, that reminds me of this middle aged guy with a receeding hairline who always came to work in his Highlander jacket (even in summer). He'd strut around like he was "all powerful" and was going to kill us all in a heartbeat... the guy just looked like an idiot. Makes me laugh just to think about it. XD

There are some people who are just too funny by themselves. They don't need any help.
Btw, how old was the kid? If he was younger its not so bad, but if he was in High School... o_0 ...perhaps he wanted attention?

All I had to do was watch through the second part before I knew he was full of crap. Sure, he does sound like he knows something we don't, but any good science fiction writer could come up with that stuff too. But here is where he shot himself in the foot. He said these extraterrestrials had no crime then went on to talk about their court system. How you couldn't lie because everyone had ESP. Why then would a court system be necessary if there was no crime? Once you contradict yourself, you lose all credibility.

This subject links to a number of movies and animation. Where did the directors get their ideas? Nothing comes out of nothing it's always based on self experience. I think that I leaped too fast I should have started with the basics. So I understand why you consider it full of crap anyway I tried.

Yeah, I'm back!

Truth be said I AM feeling rusty. Not just feeling, I slowly rusting away. I had the feeling that its beginning to deteriorate early this year but naaaaaah, I'm not going to use that as an excuse for this time's review.

Yes, I realised that there are lots of errors. I edited some parts of the review now and hopeful its not too obvious.

Thank you for the feedback, shoujoboy! :D I will try to improve on my writing skills, and yeah, like they say "Watch out for shoujoboy or jakulito!" X-P

Quote by shoujoboy1. What the holy hell is Kiniro no Corda? I'm a colossal dork who gets burned by the sun in 3 seconds flat, and I have absolutely never heard of this show?

2. Don't you hate writing reviews for shows that are average? Finding words to portray the middle road is so much more difficult than "it was amazing" or "it sucked hard". I personally know I am terrible at reviews that hang around in the middle.

3. What the holy hell is Kiniro no Corda?

Uh... by definition? A total crap ass of an anime I spent watching three days on my ass which revolves around nothing but a male harem and music. Um, do take my advice and stay away from this series. Seriously. I have this ominous feeling that if you ever watched it, and intended to review it, a heavy mass butchering would explode.

Wow, for a crap ass anime to get middle of the road scores... I'd really hate to see you write a review of a show that you threw some 1's and 2's at. I'll take your advice and not watch the show, that I had no idea existed until today.

I don't think I've ever watched an anime that deserves a 1 or 2 though. Yeah, maybe some 3's or 4's... but 1... *shakes head* if it sucks that much, I wouldn't even bother reviewing it in the first place. ^_^'

Quote by shoujoboyYou beat my comment on that review by 51 seconds. It's good to see that my comments have gotten to the point where they deserve warnings.

Lol, hope you didn't take that comment the wrong way! I lurk in the review section and I gotta say that your comments are always a pleasure to read ;)

Quote by shoujoboyI have to know, is it really moderating the community that you care about or just the title of moderator? It honestly seems to me that you love flaunting that colored name of yours more than you actually care to keep the community clean. Seriously, unless the person just blatantly did somehting stupid, I usually just give friendly reminders, as was the case in the return thread. She didn't seem to have a problem with me simply telling her that so why did you? To be honest, I'd think that instead of coming through deleting posts and accusing of mini-modding, you'd want to instead reinforce my message with the fact that you are a mod. Besides, I've reported far more threads than I used to after your last mini-mod accusation, I just figured this one didn't deserve that kind of treatment.

If you think I only care about this title you are wrong. I didn't become a mod just to have the power, I actually care about this site which is why I still come here daily.

Now as for your comment. There wasn't a problem in the past since you were only trying to help members. I actually wish more members would step forward and help, but that doesn't happen. My problem with your post was that it sounded a little too condescending. It was helpful don't get me wrong, but I just felt it didn't come off as a friendly reminder. It sounded more like a here's the rules learn them post.

Perhaps I saw more then there really was, if that's the case then I'm sorry. I will say though I have seen what mini-modding has done to other sites. I'm not about to let that happen here. As far as not backing you up on your point, I've already stated why. I will back up any member if they are genuinely trying to help others. If I feel they aren't and are just trying to get browny points (I'm not saying you are but some members have tried in the past) then I will correct them.

Quote by shoujoboy"Why does it feel like, somebody's watching me?" Children of the 80's better get a catchy tune in their heads after reading that line. I was born in 83... one year before the song and I know it, so you have no excuse 80's kids.

Anyway on to your... uh problem. It's obvious you believe in ghosts, which makes the problem more difficult to address. I personally don't, so it's kind of a foreign problem to me. I guess you are certain that it isn't some human at this point right? Is there any reason you'd be paranoid right now, like something that recently happened that would have you on edge? Is there a reason you'd believe there was a ghost or spirit following you, like someone you knew or something?

To be honest it seems like you have a Boogieman problem. Nearly everybody as a kid was afraid of monsters under the bed or the closet, so we had those things that protected us. In my case it was a nightlight, because monsters don't mess with nightlights. That being said, what exactly wards away ghosts besides ignoring them? Just find something that makes you at all comfortable, even if it's maybe sleeping in the same bed as a relative until the fear subsides. That's really all you can do.

That is of course if someone claiming to be the ghost whisperer comes in here with different advice. If they do, just ignore it... seriously.

Thank you for you input and advice. I apology for the late reply. You were right I do believe in ghost, after all it is part of my culture belief. It has been two days that feel I have is gone. At first I try to ignore it, but it got worse to point where I hear some one or something call out my name. Good thing I didn't respond because in my culture if you hear some one or something call out your name. u not suppose to respond because if you do. they know that you know there. In other words it make them essay access to control you body or follow you. Anyways thanks again.

I appreciate your input, and it's that kind of rational discussion that I was looking for with this topic. I was more than aware of the fact that there would be a great deal of people who likely had no way of changing their beliefs, but it was interesting to see that was not only true of those who are religious, but also of those who are not. Ultimately I wanted insight into why people thought the way they did and to get a better idea of whether or not it was strength of belief or just people being stubborn. I'd say it's a combination of both at this point. Regardless, you put across good points without flaming others as many members in this board typically do.

Oh, well thank you again ^^ Like I said I don't usually participate in those discussions, but I thought the topic you made was an interesting one. I was also interested in the answers of people who didn't have the same beliefs I did. Thanks for letting me participate.
Nah, I'm not the flaming type...flaming is just another case of people not really thinking ^^'

Quote by SulibresWhen I get a brain transplant, my beliefs will change.

These are the kinds of comments that scare me. The fact that there is no conceivable way to convince you that your way of thinking is wrong, is the type of thinking that creates extremism and hate. Were I to have been your parent, I could have taught you that all black people want to steal and rape. I could have drilled that into your head and made you believe it. And beings that your belief is absolute, nothing would be able to convince you that you were wrong in your thoughts aside of a brain transplant? I guess no matter how much logic, proof or discussion some people just assume they are right.

Hey, it was just a joke. Lighten up; I always believed you were the humorous kind. To be honest, changing my beliefs would require, like you stated; logic, proof, discussion, reasoning as well as events which turn everything I understand and know upside down.

I was a former Roman Catholic until I found that whatever questions I asked (Where does God come from, who made God, etc, etc) were brushed aside. As I grew older, the notion of worshiping a man crucified to a cross (quite...gory and sick if you ask me) became rather morbid and disturbing.

So I quit my religion and once my peers discovered my abandonment I received more and more calls from them asking me to return or downright condemning me to Hell and saying Jesus would punish me for I am a grave sinner. Then it struck me; I was, according to them, to be persecuted by Jesus! The one man who would have known anything and everything about persecution.

How's that for irony? Oh well; you can't have everything in life but at least you still get your good moments. Vice may go punished and virtue unrewarded but being the greedy little human beings we are, we'll find ways to reward ourselves.

Cheerio,

Sulibres

Quote by shoujoboyWell I'll leave it up to you guys how you want to handle my info on this page. We have inactive members still in the group and still up in the top, but at least they are still confirmed alive. My reviewing and MT days are done so I guess a confirmed loss can be done away with. Either way, I'm on Yahoo under shoujo_boy (Jak already knows this) so keep in contact (if you actually care to). Keep representing MT Review crew in that oh so defunct review section and remember; "What is popular is not always good. What is good is not always popular." Out.

Mate, I wish you well in whatever endeavours your future takes you and I'm sure your ongoing critiques will be missed.

Quote by shoujoboyAzumanga Daioh was a funny series to me. Not funny haha, but funny in how it could go from hilarious to laborious over time. Initially I thought the humor in it was hilarious, but as the same jokes were recycled and I was on the third school festival, I found myself completely out of it. Having your hand randomly bitten by a cat = funny. Having your hand bitten 1000 times by the same cat = not funny.

Fair point. I agree with your point about the anime being recycled, but the manga has slight differences with the different years (as in different events being portrayed). As for being bitten by the same cat 1000 times, someone must be obsessed with trying to pet it and not learning from a painful experience. I agree it got a bit tedious by the end, but one could not help but hope that things would turn out well.

Quote by shoujoboyFun fact, this series sits at 95th all time... on my personal list consisting of 109 series. Yes, that is a fun fact, fun because I'm an idiot that keeps lists, a fact in that my reality is the only one that needs to matter.

Wow, you have a list of your favourite anime? That is impressive (and you are not an idiot - just organised and you have well-ordered priorities). I am impressed as my preferences tend to change at will and I doubt I could derive a list as comprehensive as yours.

Quote by shoujoboyOh and you get no actual comment on the makeup of your review, but that's because I'm simultaneously commenting and surfing for dirty pictures, and my time has simply run out.

Fair enough. I doubt there's anything more you could say that you haven't already said previously - so I'll take that as a compliment. Besides, you had your priorities and only a limited time to do them in - so multi-tasking was a bonus.

I don't know how many of my past reviews you've read, but I almost always have an opening paragraph that has very little to do with the review itself. It's my way of setting the tone of the review with either some kind of humor or history. I just like to write loose and freeflowing so it's more conversational than it is an essay. I will chalk your opinion of that style up as "Do not like." Ha!

nope, that's the first one I read. Well, it's a rather interesting style but don't like it a single bit...what you said :P

I suppose you aren't used to my sense of humor. "English mother f***er, do you speak it" is a line used by Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction. I guess for those who may not have seen the movie, know my sense of humor or that I'm friends with Jak might have been confused. I do, however, think I was at a disadvantage from the start. I saw Jak's guestbook and saw that you already had a negative view of me... calling me a bully and even gay. I'm not sure if those opinions were just borne of anger or if I had previously done something to you that would lead you to that kind of conclusion. I don't recall ever having much interaction with you in the past, so I'm not sure where you would have drawn those types of conclusions. Either way, what's done is done.

that's why i'm asking for your forgiveness. i'm really, really sorry about that. i didn't mean to say those words. i just got annoyed but got ashamed in the end after knowing that it's just a misunderstanding. please don't mind those words, the world heck knows you're not one of the "association"
one more thing, i don't know that movie since i'm not a fan of samuel L. jackson and, by experience, guys call me mother f*****, bitch, so on and so forth when they bully me or whenever i treat them like a stinkin' trash *like when they want me to edit their mistakes in a quiz and i didn't*
once again, i'm really, really sorry. i won't do it again

Quote by shoujoboyIt's pretty pointless for me to go off and say what I thoght of your review, I'd end up redundant, so instead I will comment on Silent Mobius itself. I actually saw a few episodes of this show when Tech TV showed it on late night Anime Unleashed. Just the little bit that I saw had me addicted. Then I bought the DVD's and was still loving every minute of it. But the way the series concluded, not just the ending but the latter half of the series, dissapointed the hell out of me. It was so unfulfilling. I personally wouldn't have given the plot an 8 since the way a show ends is a huge deciding factor in my overall scores. But that's because I'm a harda$$.

Thanks again Sho. You may heap praise on my reviews - and continue to flatter my ego (you can probably hear the "whoosh, whoosh" of my head inflating here) :)
Anyways, if you liked the anime version this is one I'd strongly recommend you invest in the manga if you haven't already done so, despite any prejudices you may hold to reading manga. The manga at least concludes the story with a really decent fight that'll leave the anime reeling if it was produced.

Wow, call this message unexpected. Just so you know, flattery will get you EVERYWHERE! Your name isn't one I've forgotten per se, just haven't seen much of. There are only a few names I see around this site that actually ring a bell and yours is one of them. I really appreciate your support and I had no idea there was someone out there that truly enjoyed my ramblings.

I hear you about the college thing. I got out of the military in December and am looking at going back to finish my last two years of college here in August. I know, I'm 24 and working on a degree... I'm behind. Cut me some slack. Hopefully I'll still be able to dedicate myself to the things I love, but we'll see how good I am at balancing.

As for reviews, I'm always looking for that next thing. I'm finishing up a review on Sola and I've just gotten underway on Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru. It never stops with me...

As for adding me as a friend, I certainly don't mind. Hopefully you won't mind if I reciprocate that sentiment. Well, see you around.

Now that was unexpected. X-P I'm glad my name is forever engraved into your mind. Long but weird nickname serves its purpose successfully. >.<

No, seriously, your reviews are good. I'm not flattering you or something, lol, joking. I mean, seriously, people enjoy more thoughts-input reviews rather than just nod-nod nice reviews. Ramblings are good thing. XD

Owh? You were in the military during your degree? What degree course are you taking actually? I think I remembered you mentioning law somewhere... correct me if I'm wrong. >.<

Thanks for the watch. I saw your latest review on Sola. Havent gotten a proper personal-moment with the computer yet so since I am now, I'll be reading your review. :)

Hopefully you'll do well in your studies!

All the best.

You're infiltrating my guestbook now? oooh, what shall I do with you *holds lightning bolt in hand*
