It's just an example. Humans have natural tendancies, and while we try our hardest to not give into these feelings, we still feel them. Married men and women do not all the sudden lose their interest in others of the opposite sex. Just because they are now married does not mean they won't fantasize about others. But their conscience tells them not to. So it's the same thing. Our natural tendancies are exactly that, natural. Religion doesn't acknowledge these things as natural, but instead chooses to villify them and make them sins and evil emotions.

We must love our enemies? If you really take a moment and think about, you'd see something terribly wrong with that statement. There are certain principals we can probably all agree on, IE not killing, stealing, cheating etc. But many religious teachings exist as a way of dehumanizing us all. Love our enemies, sex is bad unless you're married etc again. Essentially, all the things that humans naturally crave or natural reactions are somehow bad in the eyes of religion. Ever stop to think why exactly?

Back to the point at hand... love our enemies. I for one say NO WAY! People who kill innocents... I HATE them. Rapists... I HATE them. Creators of computer viruses or scamming programs... I HATE them. I could go on. Hate is a natural human emotion, it's just that society is so politically correct, that we would all rather use the word 'dislike'. So if something happens to someone who deserves it, then good. Seriously, if any of you had the chance to save Adolf Hitler from a burning building, can you say you'd do it? As for the scratch, how excessive is it? Is there some way you can take a picture of it so people can assess the damage? I'm sure people would be better able to give advice if they could see just what's been done to it.

Sometimes keeping them in the box is the best thing to do, especially if the box is display friendly. Many of them have a good clear front or something, so it's easy to display even with the box in tow. But yea, display is the whole damn point, so it has to come out of the box if it can't be seen.

It's damned dangerous to assume anything there chief. How do you know the person you are talking to didn't see a family member slain during a robbery? Marriage is already a joke. The government wants to step in and impose it's morality of "marriage should be between a man and a woman" as if that is somehow sacred. If that's the case, why not a limit on how many times you can be married? Politicians and celebrities have sometimes been married countless times. Is it because it's between a man and a woman that it is somehow okay?

Seriously, it's a joke. It's so easy to get married and divorced that it really isn't as sacred as people claim it is. So why not let gays get married? All it really is is a label. A label that gays would probably take much more seriously than many straight couples. There was actually a guy in my school years ago who thought he was Goku. So much so, people actually started to call him that. Once that idea has some kind of relevance, it becomes theory. Theories are then studied in great detail and are either proven, thereby becoming a law, or more often than not disproven.

Yes, evolution is a theory. The Big Bang is a theory. But instead of "I have a good idea, this is the absolute truth", science aims to prove/disprove those said theories. Religion on the other hand says "heres this book, what it says goes. There's no proof necessary you just must accept what is in here and that is all." There are millions of possibilites as to the origins of man. We could be a science experiment for some other civilization. We could be the result of a fart from a magical being millions of years ago. We may be decended from rocks. Who knows? You don't, I don't, nobody does.

But these are questions that can't simply be answered with a book written millenia ago. These are questions that must be investigated.

Look at it from this perspective. A mother and father is essentially "the creator" for their children. They raise them and love them. So what if that child reached age 20 and they didn't like how he/she turned out... so they decided to kill him? That is essentially the God you speak of. He creates humans which have faults and then if he doesn't like the way they turned out, casts them into hell. Hmmm.

Not only that, but as I've previously mentioned, if I accomplish something in life it isn't because of me, but of God. HE gave me the strength. HE gave me the wisdom. HE made it happen. If I don't praise and worship him for the things HE did, I'm doomed for hell. Hmmm.

It's so easy to hate Flay... she was the anti-Lacus. Lacus was a character you can look up to as intelligent, wise and caring. Flay was the opposite of that. Since people were infatuated with Lacus, the natural response was to hate Flay.

But I agree with you, Flay was the most human of them. I actually really liked Flay's character and I thought she did a great job pushing the story forward in a way no other character could. While I thought she was petty, which makes her a hateable character, she also reacted in a way that many of us likely would have if put in that position.

Oh and Flay was the hottest character. I'm not saying... I'm just saying.

Ha! Don't take it as "normal". I'm far from normal. What you need to be is yourself, nothing more. Just know that you are a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for. Times will get tough throughout your life and sometimes it just takes a little inner strength and perseverance to pull through.

And seriously, don't be too down about this guy. You know I completely changed my group of friends right around your age. The people I was hanging out with started to change, and so did I. I found a group of close friends that to this day are close. 10 years we've known one another and we are as close as ever. You will find that type of friend, it just might not have been that guy.

This theory you have just deemed as wrong, is still being researched. This possibility, along with many others, are still being researched as to the origins of man. Fossil records, historical writings etc still require study and discussion. Yet, you think that just because you say so that his theory is incorrect? These times help you learn more about yourself. You learn more about how to deal with adversity and what you need to do to keep something like this from happening again. Sure, it's no fun moping around, but sometimes it's good to simply let yourself be and slowly get over it. I remember I was a wreck when my first love dumped me. I cried, I wouldn't eat and I felt like crap all day. But once the storm was over, I learned how to deal with that kind of pain a bit better and also realized I didn't need to be with someone who didn't want to be with me as badly as I wanted to be with them.
