Ok, ok... I gotta cut ya some slack now. After dealing with the countless
threads of that LVman, I just gotta step back and say "Damn". What is
the over/under on him posting another eerily similar to the ones we've already
seen?
watch everything I mean up to 12 then make your judgment.
All I had to do was watch through the second part before I knew he was full of
crap. Sure, he does sound like he knows something we don't, but any good science
fiction writer could come up with that stuff too. But here is where he shot
himself in the foot. He said these extraterrestrials had no crime then went on
to talk about their court system. How you couldn't lie because everyone had ESP.
Why then would a court system be necessary if there was no crime? Once you
contradict yourself, you lose all credibility.
Truth be said I AM feeling rusty. Not just feeling, I slowly rusting away. I had
the feeling that its beginning to deteriorate early this year but naaaaaah, I'm
not going to use that as an excuse for this time's review.
Yes, I realised that there are lots of errors. I edited some parts of the review
now and hopeful its not too obvious.
Thank you for the feedback, shoujoboy! I
will try to improve on my writing skills, and yeah, like they say "Watch
out for shoujoboy or jakulito!"
Why do you have to watch out for me? Sure, I might come in and say something
negative about a review, but so what? I'm like a dog with no teeth. Sure I can
bark a lot but it isn't as if I can bite you. I'm just a lowly member who can
come in a shake my cane at you, but not like I can do anything about it.
Quote: Uh... by definition? A
total crap ass of an anime I spent watching three days on my ass which revolves

watched it, and intended to review it, a heavy mass butchering would explode.
Wow, for a crap ass anime to get middle of the road scores... I'd really hate to
see you write a review of a show that you threw some 1's and 2's at. I'll take
your advice and not watch the show, that I had no idea existed until today.
Quote by shoujoboyYou beat my comment
on that review by 51 seconds. It's good to see that my comments have gotten to
the point where they deserve warnings.
Lol, hope you didn't take that comment the wrong way! I lurk in the review
section and I gotta say that your comments are always a pleasure to read
Of course I didn't take it the wrong way. If anything it inflates my ego a bit.
Everybody who writes knows that I'm going to eventually comment, but this is a
new guy. And considering his first comment included a warning of me coming... I
just find it that much funnier.
Hey man, I saw your post on the lolicon thread earlier. While it's cool to be
amped up about a subject, you gotta be careful. This site is considered family
friendly (though you may disagree with that), so the language you used will get
your posts deleted and may get you muted. Also, that thread had been dead for
over 2 years. If a thread is untouched for over a month, it's pretty much
considered dead. If you want to discuss it again or something similar, just
start a new thread.
Just thought I'd give you a friendly heads up. You're new here and I'd hate to
see you get muted or banned so early.
I have to know, is it really moderating the community that you care about or
just the title of moderator? It honestly seems to me that you love flaunting
that colored name of yours more than you actually care to keep the community
clean. Seriously, unless the person just blatantly did somehting stupid, I
usually just give friendly reminders, as was the case in the return thread. She
didn't seem to have a problem with me simply telling her that so why did you? To
be honest, I'd think that instead of coming through deleting posts and accusing
of mini-modding, you'd want to instead reinforce my message with the fact that
you are a mod. Besides, I've reported far more threads than I used to after your
last mini-mod accusation, I just figured this one didn't deserve that kind of
treatment.
These are the kinds of comments that scare me. The fact that there is no
conceivable way to convince you that your way of thinking is wrong, is the type
of thinking that creates extremism and hate. Were I to have been your parent, I
could have taught you that all black people want to steal and rape. I could have
drilled that into your head and made you believe it. And beings that your belief
is absolute, nothing would be able to convince you that you were wrong in your
thoughts aside of a brain transplant? I guess no matter how much logic, proof or
discussion some people just assume they are right.
Hey, it was just a joke. Lighten up; I always believed you were the humorous
kind. To be honest, changing my beliefs would require, like you stated; logic,
proof, discussion, reasoning as well as events which turn everything I
understand and know upside down.
I was a former Roman Catholic until I found that whatever questions I asked
(Where does God come from, who made God, etc, etc) were brushed aside. As I grew
older, the notion of worshiping a man crucified to a cross (quite...gory and
sick if you ask me) became rather morbid and disturbing.
So I quit my religion and once my peers discovered my abandonment I received
more and more calls from them asking me to return or downright condemning me to
Hell and saying Jesus would punish me for I am a grave sinner. Then it struck
me; I was, according to them, to be persecuted by Jesus! The one man who would
have known anything and everything about persecution.
How's that for irony? Oh well; you can't have everything in life but at least
you still get your good moments. Vice may go punished and virtue unrewarded but
being the greedy little human beings we are, we'll find ways to reward
ourselves.
Cheerio,
Sulibres
No harm no foul. It's always a fine line between annotation and connotation when
it comes to the written word. Sarcasm isn't as easily distinguishable when
theres no tone to it. Regardless, it certainly helped to illustrate a point that
seems to prevail with a lot of people. I suppose considering that the religion
boards are usually just people flaming others, it's a lot more difficult to take
anything lightly.
Quote by ASH-HikariI guess to answer
the title question: nothing. Yes, I don't think anything could ever change my
beliefs. Maybe it seems close minded, but I believe that there is one true
answer out there, and I believe I know what it is. (That sounds conceited, sorry
0_0) I'm a very logical person, so my mind does say things like "How can
you be sure beyond doubt that what you believe is true?" but my heart
already knows. I've never been the best at explaining myself, so I won't really
try.
Quote by shoujoboyThese are the kinds
of comments that scare me. The fact that there is no conceivable way to convince
you that your way of thinking is wrong, is the type of thinking that creates
extremism and hate.
You know, I agree. Extremism and hate is often born from people not being able
to accept someone else's way of thinking. But not everyone is like that. Even
though I have no doubt in my religion, I don't feel any hatred towards those who
don't agree with me, nor do I try to push my beliefs on others. I may mention it
and talk about it, but forcing is very wrong. I think the people who feel that
hatred are just not thinking, and they need to realise they're giving people
even more reason to hate them. There are even things in my religion I don't
always agree with, but I still believe that they're true. Just because I don't
agree with them for myself doesn't make them wrong.
Quote by shoujoboyWere I to have been
your parent, I could have taught you that all black people want to steal and
rape. I could have drilled that into your head and made you believe
it.
This is why I think a time comes when everyone should just start thinking for
themselves. When we are young, we are usually taught one thing, and when we grow
up we refuse to believe anything else. But people need to realise this, and find
their own answers. Both sides of my family are very different religion wise, and
both my parents disagree on many things, so I have to do my own thinking. There
are things I've been taught that I don't agree with. But in the end, both my
parents and myself ended up as the same religion. We still disagree on some
little matters but our beliefs lie in the same place.
I guess what I'm basically trying to say is, use your brain everyone, it's there
for a reason Anyways I don't usually participate in these discussions; not sure why I did,
but thanks for listening. And for the record, I'm not Christian (people usually
assume), I'm Muslim.
(And for those of you who like scientific answers, the Qur'an has things
mentioned in it that science didn't discover until ages later ^^ But as I said,
no forcing )
I appreciate your input, and it's that kind of rational discussion that I was
looking for with this topic. I was more than aware of the fact that there would
be a great deal of people who likely had no way of changing their beliefs, but
it was interesting to see that was not only true of those who are religious, but
also of those who are not. Ultimately I wanted insight into why people thought
the way they did and to get a better idea of whether or not it was strength of
belief or just people being stubborn. I'd say it's a combination of both at this
point. Regardless, you put across good points without flaming others as many
members in this board typically do.

I suppose you aren't used to my sense of humor. "English mother f***er, do
you speak it" is a line used by Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction. I guess
for those who may not have seen the movie, know my sense of humor or that I'm
friends with Jak might have been confused. I do, however, think I was at a
disadvantage from the start. I saw Jak's guestbook and saw that you already had
a negative view of me... calling me a bully and even gay. I'm not sure if those
opinions were just borne of anger or if I had previously done something to you
that would lead you to that kind of conclusion. I don't recall ever having much
interaction with you in the past, so I'm not sure where you would have drawn
those types of conclusions. Either way, what's done is done.
Just coming along to impart some friendly advice. I noticed you went posting in
the gaming forums recently. Well you commited a forum sin that you need to be
aware of. First thing is don't revive dead threads. If a thread hasn't had any
activity on it in over a month can be considered dead. Not only that, but to
bring back a thread like you did that was untouched in over a year with a
comment that really added nothing to the conversation is bad business. If it was
for credits, be aware that comments below 50 characters won't help your credit
count, but hurt it. Just be aware of this the next time you go into the forums.
Quote by Milkiyoit's just me being

wow sounds good. I meant the anime :P
I don't know how many of my past reviews you've read, but I almost always have
an opening paragraph that has very little to do with the review itself. It's my
way of setting the tone of the review with either some kind of humor or history.
I just like to write loose and freeflowing so it's more conversational than it
is an essay. I will chalk your opinion of that style up as "Do not
like." Ha!
FYI, keep an eye on the threads you are posting on. I've seen that you recently
went on a tear posting on threads that are quite old. If a thread has been
untouched for over a month... and in some of the cases you posted on, OVER A
YEAR, just consider the thread dead. Start up a new one if you want to discuss
the same or a similar subject. Bumping old threads is bad juju.
I thought I'd come along here and offer you a friendly piece of advice. I see
that you went on a forum posting spree lately. Well, the topics that you posted
on were quite old, which is a no-no in this community. If you see that the
thread has been untouched for more than a month, you can pretty much consider
the thread dead. It's best at that point to start a new thread for discussion as
opposed to bringing that one back from the dead. You did it quite a lot and many
of the comments you left behind really added very little to the
discussion.
Also, if you are posting simply for credits, be aware that posting these short
responses (under 50 characters) do not actually earn you any credits, and will
actually do you more harm than good. Hopefully you'll take my advice and use it.

What is it that you need help with? Have you gone through the FAQ's yet? This site is pretty easy to
navigate and use, so if there are any questions in particular that need
answering let me know. Ask an individual rather than post a comment on a review.
Hey I thought I'd drop by and let you know... man you are seriously on the wrong
path on this site right now. You start threads that leave little to discuss or
title the thread in an ambiguous manner. You've created multiples of the same
threads. Now I see that you have revived a dead thread for a comment. If you
didn't know, if you want to discuss something that is in relation to a dead
thread, just start a new one. Usually when you see that it was started a year or
two ago or just hasn't been active in 6 or so months, just let it die.
I'm telling you this so you don't end up the ire of the moderators... or even
other members for that matter. Take heed my warning and change the way you use
this site, or you may find yourself Muted or even Banned.

Anyway, I was just browsing about MT after being away for so long (and also

probably because of your reviews that I love to read )
Putting that aside, how are you doing? Any interesting anime that you're going
to review? I hope there is!
Argh, before I forgot. *press 'stalk' button* I hope you don't mind. I'm really
looking forward to your reviews!
Wow, call this message unexpected. Just so you know, flattery will get you

of. There are only a few names I see around this site that actually ring a bell
and yours is one of them. I really appreciate your support and I had no idea
there was someone out there that truly enjoyed my ramblings.
I hear you about the college thing. I got out of the military in December and am
looking at going back to finish my last two years of college here in August. I
know, I'm 24 and working on a degree... I'm behind. Cut me some slack. Hopefully
I'll still be able to dedicate myself to the things I love, but we'll see how
good I am at balancing.
As for reviews, I'm always looking for that next thing. I'm finishing up a

wisdom teeth taken out if they're growing in crooked because it could cause
crowding of your teeth later on down the road. (And it's more difficult to take
them out once they've grown into the bone...)
I hear ya, but all I ever seem to get is different dentists saying different

Yes, you do have a writing style. You are a just the facts type writer. Jak

facts type reviewer myself, just with the aforementioned sad attempts at humor.
And yes I will yell at you, I expect more of you. Actually it's probably because
out of our inactive reviewers, you still actually post occasional messages in
the guestbook. The others never grab my attention, you do simply for line of

the way you wrote the review you seem to be reasonable about it even though you
admit to being a FFVII Fanboy: Do you think that someone who likes FVII but
isn't obsessed with it could like this game? If so I will probably give this one
a chance when it comes down in price. Or is it like Advent Children and really
only good to those in-love with the series? Part of me really wants to play this
prequel to FFVII, but I'm very afraid of it being so glamorized by the fanbase
that it won't really stay to true to the essence of the original game...
I'd say if you had a good grasp on the overall story of FFVII that this is a
good game to play to fill in the holes. Not only that, but it is a good pick up
and play game for the PSP. So if anything just take little bites of it in your
off time. It took me 76 hours to get 100% completion, and that's with a lot of
mindless praying for the DMW to help me. If you just went for the story portion,
you are looking at probably 20 hours at best. Picking it up when it gets cheaper
will be a good idea for you, but I'd still say give it a shot.
As for the comment about the hardest game ever being Star Ocean 3 in 4-d mode...
I'd tend to believe that. I remember playing that in just normal, but I went for
all the battle trophies. Just the absurdity of getting some of those showed me
that game had some teeth to it. Honestly though, I'd probably say Shin Megami
Tensei Nocturne was the hardest game I've played. It was hard as hell on normal,
and the 2nd TUTORIAL enemy killed me on hard.
And that ends my return rant.

I could tell that you had a thing for survival horror when seeing the Fatal

because if you like the whole scary aspect, a good bet would be Condemned 1

even though my forte is RPG's, I do enjoy survival horror, so I'd be curious to
know what you find to be some of the best out there. A genre I enjoy... just not
too familiar with it all. Thanks for humoring me.
My bad not replying to you earlier. I actually did, but I didn't reply. I

Besides, theres more than one website out there that acesses the whole Jigoku Shoujo thing. All I need is a screename and some peanut butter M&M's when she arrives. Too bad I get sent to a place far worse than hell... Canada! Yup, I went there again and just because I know you, I'll always go for the Canada jokes.
I'd say if you had a good grasp on the overall story of FFVII that this is a good game to play to fill in the holes. Not only that, but it is a good pick up and play game for the PSP. So if anything just take little bites of it in your off time. It took me 76 hours to get 100% completion, and that's with a lot of mindless praying for the DMW to help me. If you just went for the story portion, you are looking at probably 20 hours at best. Picking it up when it gets cheaper will be a good idea for you, but I'd still say give it a shot.
As for the comment about the hardest game ever being Star Ocean 3 in 4-d mode... I'd tend to believe that. I remember playing that in just normal, but I went for all the battle trophies. Just the absurdity of getting some of those showed me that game had some teeth to it. Honestly though, I'd probably say Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne was the hardest game I've played. It was hard as hell on normal, and the 2nd TUTORIAL enemy killed me on hard.
And that ends my return rant.

I could tell that you had a thing for survival horror when seeing the Fatal Frame homepage, but what about scary games in general? Just bringing that up because if you like the whole scary aspect, a good bet would be Condemned 1 & 2, assuming you haven't played them already or if you even enjoy FPS. And even though my forte is RPG's, I do enjoy survival horror, so I'd be curious to know what you find to be some of the best out there. A genre I enjoy... just not too familiar with it all. Thanks for humoring me.
My bad not replying to you earlier. I actually did, but I didn't reply. I actually posted my own response in my own damn guestbook. Nothing like getting a message from yourself.
Anyway, I was stationed at Bagram with the Air Force. Yea so I wasn't there as long as other branches, but still. I was there when the base was attacked because Dick Cheyney was on base. Had no idea what the hell a Code Purple was until that day. Really sucked cause I threw on body armor and a helmet while everyone else just slept. Does that mean we are spoiled in the Air Force? Either way... glad I won't have to go again... unless I'm recalled. Oh God don't let that happen.
